The Darkness of the Environment and its Temptations, and State of the King’s Son as “Forced into Drunkenness with bundles of cash near to houses of harlotry,” Thus Justice Admits, “How Can He Not Sin? A document of slavery is called Addictus in Latin-Edom; thus, the Haggadah Tells us, “Now We are Slaves.” Divine Power, not our power Frees Us.
FACT: The Students of R. Burns do Not Relapse, nor even think of drugs. They have no stigma, are fully integrated into family and the Frum community, and many have learned in Kollel. They don’t need to go to therapy, or self-help meetings. (See Testimonials). This statement means that if even addicts become healthy, how much more so Will This Miracle Happen to Us.
FACT: When AA in (1939) had a God-Based Therapy over 90% Recovered even with more stressors and before discovery of psychiatric medications. Today, only a 5% one-year abstinence rate with chronic relapse within the Brain Disordered Medical-Model. Every decade society’s mental health declines as atheism strengthens. APA studies confirm Mental Health Professionals have more mental-emotional problems than on average. The CDC (2021-data) recently stated 57% of female teenagers as persistently sad, 30% seriously considered, 24% planned, and 13% attempted SUICIDE. Empirical evidence that psychology today cannot resolve man’s developmental needs. Where is these evidence-based results? They talk a cunning Hocus-Pocus, not real science.
FACT: No Drug Rehab, PHP, IOP, anywhere is 12-Steps Based. Legally, they can’t bill insurance or be licensed based on God’s Providence. All drug-alcohol rehab websites changed “Higher Power” to anything, but God. No matter if Frum Jews owns it or are Therapists or Clergy, treatment is not of God. The “Holistic” programs of mind, body, “spirit” (what spirit?) fail, lacking in Holy Wisdom. If Chabad was an Experienced Event, Shluchim Wouldn’t be Marketing the Secular Rehabs, as they Would be The Superior Spiritual Healers.
Numerous leaders (videos available) confirm 30-40 years ago we couldn’t imagine this mental health crisis or drug problem today, with adults included. They claim it is worse daily to the best of families. FACT: 30 years ago, Secular therapy became popular in Orthodoxy parallel to increased problems. Carl Jung said, “the evil principle prevailing in society today, leads the Unrecognized Spiritual need into Perdition. To consider “Pain” as only emotional (like animals) one denies God, and Man’s Innate Spiritual-Image that needs Holiness.
A True Cheshbon Nefesh is far more effective than trauma therapies as we uproot all payoffs in the present, which fuels reasons we remain in the past. This Process guarantees nothing in the past forces upon us problems in the present. What Hebrew word is trauma and what Middah or Category is it in Musar Books? The Torah Covenant of Sufferings states our solution is the Return to God. Marsha Linehan in her NY Times Video called “power of rescuing others”, said she experienced “God Loving Her” instantly changing her from “Being Crazy,” well before DBT therapy. Of note, she denies trauma was behind her suffering, saying her suffering was suffering of the cross. She says she heard God’s voice, then went to nuns in monasteries and to Zen Buddhists to learn mindfulness for DBT. She testifies her Christian Religious Experience was her deepest healing.
Where in Orthodox Mental Health do we Witness to the Jewish Religious Experience. Many who put their faith in DBT, or IFS theory etc., don’t even consider the existence of an actual Ordained Therapy. The Bria-Chadasha Process is to be Born-Anew, and it is absurd to think this as Christian, when this is the Foundation of Judaism that we are missing today. The QUALITY of this Born-Again/Anew Teshuva Experience is what Qualifies who is the Good Person. Teshuva/Recovery is to be entirely rebuilt into a “Whole Adam” whereas secular treatment is “self-serving” as in symptom management to improve functionality.

Denying this Spiritual quest in children further confuses and traumatizes core sense of existence, even causing mental illness. During the Covid Pandemic, Yeshivot and Shuls were mostly all closed. We forgot Tish B’ Av, is to sense our fall and to mourn alone, as we die alone. We forgot that in our Teshuva is the Birth of Moshiach. Pikuach-Nefesh meant only Save the Body, so the Mitzva was Listen to Doctors, as the Nefesh got Sicker. We Use People To Sedate This Inner Need, To Avoid It And Distract From It. Even Learning Torah Can Be Used To Avoid It. No Pain In An Animal Existence Is The Danger Of Onus-Sleep Leading Into Spiritual Death.
We Realize No Treatment, Method, Skill, Technique, Mindfulness, Affirmation, Learning, Self-Knowledge, Relationship, Object, Group, Entity, Movement, Or Philosophy, “Completes” Us. Our Need Is Not Any Worldly Desire, Nor Only Emotional. Careers, Employment, Status, Money, Control, Honor, Marriage And Children, Substances, Thrills, Travel, Nature, Sports, Art, Beauty, Humor, Hobbies, Achievements, Food, Music, Or Exercise, Will Never Fulfill This Innermost Need.
MANY SENSE AS FAR BACK AS THEY CAN REMEMBER, “SOMETHING WAS WRONG, OR WAS/IS MISSING.” they often perceive this as meaning there is something wrong and bad with them and may judge it as a personal fault and thus make up various problems to explain what this “wrongness” possibly is. Selfishness increases to avoid it with pleasure seeking and assumptions with false answers to try to solve this inner ‘something is wrong.” We must ask, is there really something wrong as an objective fact, or is this wrongness produced by too much self-concern, or lack of basic security that started as a small child or toddler? Is it perhaps that we are truly lost from something that we must find, that was never explained properly to us when children, or even afterwards?
C) People In A Pre-Recovery Ego-State Are “Actors” Trying To Manage Others In Their Own Way, Even When Motives Seems Good. All Moral Religious Convictions, Kindness And Charity Are Inadequate To Reduce Ego Much. Many Are Their Own Worst Enemy, Completely Unaware Of The Self-Sabotage Of The Good In Life. Most Fight Surrendering A Stubbborn Will To God By Relying On Intelligence, Persuasive Skills, Physical Appearance, Physique, Charm, Education, Wealth, People, Or Any Belief Supporting Getting What They Want. Most Are Under The Delusion Getting What They Want, With Life Going Their Way Brings Happiness. So, They May Act Mean, Kind, Dishonest, Virtuous, Loving, Cruel, To Get The Results They Desire. When People Don’t Repond They May Push Harder To Act More Kind Or Cruel, Get More Angry-Insulted, Delve Into Self-Pity, Feel Martyred, Beat Themselves Up, Develop Eating Disorders, And Act Out In Various Unhealthy Ways While Feeling Justified.
THUS, WE ARE DOOMED TO ANNIHILATION IN SELFISHNESS AND WE ALL NEED SPIRITUAL HELP TO LIVE. We need to internalize this doom as a certainty in objective reality, not just some form of emotional suffering.
Specific problems like compulsive gambling, binge eating or shopping, all sex related issues, codependency, anxiety, panic attacks, rage, are all part of the Unmanageability in the Self. We don’t “treat” just these specific problems, rather we need a complete Freedom from the essential Nature of the SELF.
MENTAL SIGNS OF DRUG/ALCOHOL ADDICTION: 1. MENTAL INSANITY IS A Mental Block Or “Thoughtless Blank Spot” In The Mind Occurring At Random, Unpredictable Times Even Without Any Cause Or Stimulus. 2. Inability To Recall Past Suffering With An Adequate Force To Deter Present Use. 3. Blocking Of Normal Deliberation Of The Consequences Of Present Use. 4. Even With Much Self Knowledge Of Addiction And Insight Into The Dynamics Of The Mind, The Insanity Will Still Force Blanking Out And “Forgetfulness.” 5. Irrational Beliefs Related To Using Like “I’ll Only Have One Drink” When Never Having Only One Drink. Or “This Time It Will Be Different,” Or “No One See’s Me,” (Like What Difference Does That Make?). I Don’t Like “This Type Of Drug” So Its Ok To Use It. 6. Sudden Unpredictable Subtle Shift Into A Nonchalant, Uncaring Attitude Concerning The Dangers Of A Relapse. 7. Numerous Plans Of Controlling The Quantity Used Or Controlling The Type Of Substances Used “This Time.” 8. Using More Than Was Initially Planned 9. Lack Of Control As Seen By Compulsive Use During The Binge Cycle.
THE ADDICT AFTER PROGRESSION DOES NOT USE FOR PLEASURE NOR FOR ANY SOLUTION, Rather The Insanity Makes Him Believe It Will Be Pleasurable Even When It Is No Longer Enjoyable, Even With Intense Suffering. Sometimes, He Won’t Think At All And Just Uses.
THE IDEA OF INSANITY IS LITERAL, As Addiction Has A Life Of Its Own As Unpredictable And Uninfluenced By Logic Or Reasoning, Management Skills, Or Any Attempt At Environmental Control Like In “People, Places Or Things.” One Who Tries To Avoid Temptation (High Risk Situations) As A Primary Model Of Treatment, Results In A Bigger Explosion Than Ever (Aa Big Book Pg.101). A Relapse Prevention Model Which All Drug Rehabs Are Based On Fails Utterly, As The Insanity Is Not Based On Any Triggers/Cues. Relapse Prevention Is Only For A Bad Habit, Not For Powerlessness Of Addiction, Which Only A Spiritual Experience Solves. All Self-Knowledge And In-Depth Knowledge Of This Condition Won’t Help At All, As The Insanity Will Block Any Conscious Knowledge, Preventing That Knowledge From Being A Deterrant.
No Human Power Can Remove This Insanity, So We Then Seek Hashem Based On Life Or Death, Which Opens Us To The Truth Of His Miracle As The Real Power. If Any Therapeutic Technique Prevents Relapse, Then What Is The Real Miracle? The Vast Majority Of Addicts Relapse Because They Relied On A Human Power Like A Rehab And Therapy, Or A Group Of People. The Medical Model Of Addiction Is The Source Of Failure, It Is Opposite The Spiritual Truth Of 12-Steps, Which Is Clear That Relapse Is Directly Related To Spiritual Condition, Not From Brain Disorders Or Medical Randomness. Thus, They Never Experienced The Steps At All. Without Step One, There Is Absolutely No Benefit, Only A Failed Recovery And A Lost Life.
Other Mistakes on Step One include: A) Thinking one can avoid picking up the first, that the powerlessness starts AFTER using. Like, the slogan one is too many and a thousand never enough. Big Book. pg.23, the main problem centers in the mind rather than the body. The body is after ingestion with a compulsion, the insanity precedes the ingestion into the body. B) Keep it green, remember how bad the last relapse was. Addicts lack in the ability to recall during the cunning insanity C) Just don’t use one day at a time. D) Avoid people places and things. Problem is you can’t remove yourself from yourself as the addiction is within the addict and it NEEDS NO EXTERNAL STIMULI as a trigger. As mentioned earlier the AA Big Book pg. 101 says any plan to separate the alcoholic from temptation is doomed to failure and results in a bigger explosion of relapse. This can be explained that reliance on any relapse prevention model with avoidance techniques reinforces the addict is NOT powerless, so denial and obsessive attempts at control get even deeper, so as the insanity is even less noticed it thereby gains more control. E) SELF-KNOWLEDGE in reading books. Telling oneself many times daily or identifying in a group that “I am an addict.” The subtle insanity blocks all self-knowledge and information learned. There is at unpredictable times no free-will choice as the addict in pre-recovery has no defense against the first drink/drug. A third party putting a gun to the addict’s head saying if you use you will die, is no evidence of his free-will winning as this coercion is from an outside force, yet without this outside force like having a bodyguard, the insanity wins over the mind of the addict, even while actively learning relapse prevention skills in deep study. F) Another mistake is by surrendering to the addiction there is power. Addiction always kills, it doesn’t take prisoners! No matter how much the addict wants to stop or is willingly “to give up” it will not help permanently, as the insanity has a “life of its own,” and eventually wins. G) That human support, acceptance, and affection and talking about problems and feelings prevents relapse. H) To call someone before the first drug. I) Avoid getting too hungry, angry, lonely, or tired. I) Primarily, relying on health measures like exercise for endorphins, fish oils, vitamins-minerals if to “balance” body-brain hormones/chemicals, by falsely assuming in the “body” is what prevents relapse.
WE ADMIT WE LACK IN HUMAN POWER ALONE THE ABILITY TO CHANGE SELFISH NATURE.
As Rav Chaim Vital teaches (to be explored), even the most knowledgeable minds are still selfish when lacking Good from Spiritual Wisdom. In pre-Bria Chadasha state, we self-delude believing happiness is achieved in building a good self-image and esteem, and fulfilling desires and needs justified or not. With a better motive in the pleasure of doing the right thing, or in kindness and meaning. All motives still have selfish payoffs; thus, one still serves himself. Even our strongest convictions and religious beliefs won’t reduce self-centeredness much. WE REALIZE WE CANNOT MANAGE (UNMANAGEABLE) AND BE HAPPY IN THE SELF. We need a Higher Power to save us from Bondage to Self. Many function well with wealth and influence of people as defining success. Few realize in this fatal state of serenity if they die without Teshuva, they lose everything. Some are self-righteous from education and use it to avoid self-honestly needed for Recovery. Many deny there is a real answer to commit to. Or reject those with this answer as lacking status or impose on them some impure intent. Some lecture as though they understand and agree but are philosophically comforting themselves, to avoid this basic truth. We self-delude by philosophical comforting in belief we live by them yet blind to contradictions.
Our Reliance on Learning abilities, Intelligence, Logic, and Reasoning is a false worshipping of our mental faculties as the source of power. We rely on what we see as our reality refusing to concede bias based on self, as we lack vision through Objective Wisdom. We need ego deflation realizing our intelligence, self-knowledge and belief system is flawed and that we are blind to Recovery and need God who Knows how to fix us better than ourselves. Especially we need to understand we do not yet know Spirituality, even though we can quote verbatim from many reliable books. All our reasons to be less selfish even when in extreme pain is still bound by our selfish motives. The secret of freedom from a Self-made prison, is WHY we want to escape as will be discussed. The Orthodox Jew may verbally agree as a “religious believer” then contradict and fight his Recovery. A Spiritual Experience is above philosophy or any educated guesswork.
Imagine most adults are like infants or children whose refuse to mature and will play ANY GAME OR ROLE POSSIBLE TO REMAIN THE CHILD, while thinking their game world is reality. He seeks attention, needs comfort, relies on strokes for a self-serving esteem, wants toys and material rewards, loves candy as in immediate pleasures and rewards, focuses on his emotions, worships people/codependent, often is full of strife-rivalry, and will easily falls into bad ways by lacking Maturity, completely lacking his needed Higher Moral-Identity. HE NEEDS TO GROW UP.
The Bria-Chadasha Process is healing of the attachments to the evils of our youth from the Pure Wisdom of 100% Chanukah Oil, undefiled by man-made theory or opinion. We realize reliance on man is not the answer, The Creator Is, and He can remove what blocks us off from Him. If we Sincerely seek Hashem as the most Important and Needed Relationship, He will Never Fail us.
Free-Will Choice Is Through our Surrender: we must try to open the door of willingness “like the eye of a needle,” Hashem opens the door to freedom. We must try to be willing to choose to surrender to Freedom. It may be one moment of sanity, even like a “gift of desperation” to choose life over death. If we don’t choose life, we may never get another opportunity to wake up. We often need to ask His Help for the merit of more willingness as most have a corrupted will from a particular sin, or harm we did to others as a judgement against us etc, so we need more effort to “merit” the miracle of strength, more than our human effort.” If we refuse to surrender, we can’t claim “I am powerless” as an excuse, as we become fully liable as we Had a Way to Escape from Prison but chose not to leave.” Compulsive Gambling, Sexual Problems, Codependences, Eating Disorders, and other obvious harmful behaviors are the Symptoms of Unmanageability. However, Self in the Immature Child State before Bria-Chadasha Teshuva which is the Prerequisite to Proper Acceptance of His Kingdom and Mitzvot, is Unmanageable by Nature. As in the Rambam Laws-Disposition 2:1- Sick Souls see the complete opposite, good as bad, bad as good, light as dark, dark as light, sweet as bitter, hate the good, love evil ways etc. They that are conscious of their evil tendencies and don’t go to the Wise Rofeh-Nefashot (Holy Sages), is “Wisdom and Instruction fools despise.” Proverbs 1:7. A window of opportunity for choice, if rejected will result in slow suicide. Self-blindness surely exists, yet at certain times there may be moments of conscious awareness of the problem. Today, due to the lack of Wise Sages as (Rofeh Nefashot) and with the Darkness of Heresy, the path to the cure is more closed unless DIRECTLY presented within interactive discussion, and this is still difficult to initiate. We don’t even know as a community yet, the reality of this Personality-Teshuva. What do we mean by absolute? Is any established theory absolute? Certainly not. Is philosophical conviction built upon logic and reason concerning the existence of the creator, considered as absolute truth? Will this conviction in certainly produce real Emunah? Is Emunah a feeling, or are feelings associated with it?
The faithless assume it is a weakness, a need for security, an imagined support to explain things because of a psychological need to feel some meaning and purpose whether real or not. Do we know we exist through logic and reason? Logic and reason are good but is it enough to be absolute? Why do we need to seek with sincere willingness as if it is the most important matter, if it’s only like book knowledge? We might see someone with a significant life change, who claims God literally entered his heart and changed him. If ten or twenty said the same thing and described exactly the way it happened, does this instill in us interest to search? Do we need more pain and desperation, or realize we must seek?
It is an experience above the current mind, that cannot be acquired “by force” by relying on our power of logic and reason, as it is a gift that descends down to us with certainty. It is sudden, often unexpected because it is not actually controlled by us. Our heart cries in a moment of sincerity for the connection to life, and we often don’t even know we were looking. We find it because we were lost, so this is completely new to us.
WILLINGNESS TO SEEK TO AQUIRE EMUNAH. TO KNOW THE POWER OF HASHEM IS REAL AND WILL RESTORE OUR SPIRITUAL SANITY. Whatever our minimal understanding is, like we need power to live is adequate. Our sincerity and seeking as though our existence depends on it which it does, will produce results unless certain severe things we did will require more effort in submission, to acquire influx of mercy to save us. We can consider that he fixed others before us, so he can fix us too. We need to fully realize we need to stop trying to fix ourselves, our way. We realize any thoughts that we are too bad or different is just our gaava/haughtiness in reverse. Are we so important that we are worse than everyone who ever recovered in history? We analyzed how we set up all problems, self-sabotage, and even most situations where we got hurt. Dishonesty with oneself causes much anger and fear, with anxious stress from the inner conflict of our being phony (increasing our feeing nonexistent) versus keeping up the facades and strategic roles to get our way. Rigorous self-honesty helps removes anger and fear. Anger blocks us from happiness and Spiritual Wisdom. We must live free from unnecessary anger to grow.
We produce all our defects, we are never victim of our anxieties, or fears etc. No matter what happened in the past we actively maintain past “wounds” because we want them for self-serving payoffs in the present, even if the payoff is foolish and self-destructive in objective truth. It still has some ego serving purpose. We seek the real causes behind our problems. Many are so blind they deny resentments while living in rage. Part A. Identify appearing cause of resentment such as an incident where you were offended, and the object or person associated with this resentment. For example, how does this resentment change how you look at yourself, how you perceive the world in general and in your relationships with others. Part B. What is the payoff, how did you use this resentment as an excuse, blame, manipulation, ego-feeding, justification for any behaviors, beliefs, and ideas? Why do you want to hold onto it, i.e., the self-interest? Describe any consequences or damage this resentment caused. What is your part in the situation which started this resentment? How have you contributed to the problem? How did you set it up or made some decision based on self which contributed to the conflict.
Payoffs: The principle is we still do what we want (Free-Will Bechira) even when blinded by resentments and attitudes. We are not merely acting out on irrational childhood perceptions although our initial resentments may be linked with childhood thoughts. We as adults are actively seeking strategies for self-benefits although often below awareness. The good news is when we see in-depth how we are responsible for our failure, it becomes self-evident that change in character will result in objective future good. The victim role remains with its unhealthy dependency by comparing the mind to a medical disorder like catching anxiety like a virus, or trauma being like a brain injury.
Generalizing from Specific Resentments: Example the Rebbe in 6th grade said, “what a ridiculous question,” producing embarrassment with a perceived threat to self-image-esteem, such as “I am not so smart.” Affecting status/position compared to other students, like now other students will put me down and in risks to possible friendships. This resentment turns into most Rebbes are bad, this Yeshivas is bad, how could this Principal let this Rebbe work here, so a resentment starts now against the principal. This can increase fears of failing, being singled out unfairly, belief that life is unfair, seeking of negative forms of attention in outside friendships, resentments against anyone who LIKES or is liked by this rebbe or principal. Dramatic shifts in personality can develop rapidly, as it is often the nature of the “Self” to cause us much trouble.
We analyze how emphasis on various self-interests triggers the severity of resentments into expanding into unhealthy attitudes towards the world and how this it is maintained by this self-interest as time passes. Some threats are real, and we can’t control them. Is building better self-esteem the answer? Infants and children need attention and self-esteem by nature BECAUSE “Self” is primarily the human condition from BIRTH, as we are forced to depend on others to survive obviously. BUT to become the Adult-Gadol we can’t remain reliant on this immature self-esteem. (Step 3 is like a Bar Mitzvah). We must develop maturity through ego-deflation through humility to Serve God and NOT continue serving Self, like the child. This Inventory turns the immature child into the fully responsible adult. Improving one’s self-esteem is acceptable at 9 years old, but we can’t seek a childish esteem when 39 years old!
Self-Pity is so destructive as it can justify even criminal acts without any remorse by thinking “the world owes me,” or “I am entitled to this after all my sufferings,” “life is not fair.” It fuels more and more acts of harming others by seeing the world as dog eat dog, or thinking I need to take care of myself even to break known moral values, otherwise I’ll be abused as before. This attitude fuels more and more selfishness. The complete avoidance of responsibility to change is often a self-pity payoff. To deserve what one is not entitled to, to use others for personal benefits is often built on self-pity justifications.
One may often feel like the martyr and seem to let go and forgive the resentment towards the offender, to boost his arrogance up high by feeling superior to this offender. Resentments justifies self-pity, harming others, abandoning of religion or of certain positive behaviors, being cruel and freed from many of his obligations or moral actions. Resentments are often even fabricated, so we may initially hate someone and incite them to respond back with some negative action because we want a payoff from this preexisting resentment. If they seem to hate us back, then they can be seen as the aggressor, and now anything is permitted to do to them. Playing blame games with self-righteous anger, is also to get something we want including unproductive emotional validation, to avoid a fault, even for some false connection to the perceived offender.
GOD: PRINCIPLES-INSTITUTIONS: POWER, POSITION, MONEY: To Be Explained.
FEARS: List all your fears. How does it change your view of self, the world and others including relationships. How do you maintain this fear by it affecting a self-interest. How does over self-reliance on the self and in our specific abilities increase our fear? What is the identified payoff, or any justification of any improper behavior because of a fear? List all fears even without apparent cause, such as phobias.
We discover egocentricity produced most fears and increased realistic ones. We played God by relying on our limited abilities trying to control the environment, rather than developing selfless service with reliance on His Limitless Ability. Our inside was not like our outside, so this incongruency created more fear and anxiety, and let’s face it, “ruling” a world that just might not listen as we would like can be quite stressful. We don’t rely on Hashem to serve selfish needs, rather we seek to do as He would have us in His world. We only ask for our needs to better serve Him, with unconditional love.
SEX: All your relationships past and present:
Where have you been a. selfish b. inconsiderate c. dishonest and manipulative regarding sex and identify any hurt that you may have caused. What harm was caused to others including to oneself? Identify all shame and guilt regarding your sexuality. Identify all behaviors, thoughts, interests, you feel are wrong and in need of change. What is your goal and vision for your future sex life?
We have even seen everything including Same Sex-Attraction healed. The real Willingness to change in most cases only starts at this phase. A “Toeva’ takes effort to do Teshuva to gain the real willingness to change. We make a sex inventory as it is related to our MORAL character of being good or evil, but there is no drug addiction related inventory, as the mental INSANITY is like catching a “Spiritual Plague,” in which Teshuva heals. EXAMPLE: The effect of drugs can be immense suffering without reward of pleasure. Is an orgasm a suffering without pleasure?
It is not about who is more right or more wrong, so even if we believe the other person is far more in the wrong, we look at our part, as we are seeking our own improvement.

We determine self-esteem by what we chose to value as important. It could be good or could be evil, as many build self-esteem on very bad things. It is not true to say someone has no self-esteem because they do bad things, as subjective is often not the truth, so self-esteem can be an ego-trip, whether good or bad morally. One may beat themselves up with hate as in low-self-esteem because they don’t live up to the fantasy of who they believe they are. Thus, low self-esteem is primarily maintained by the self, regardless of the unhealthy self-concepts acquired from others during childhood.
Insecurity is created by over reliance on Self, on the refusal to face truth of self and principles, so they fabricate beliefs to impose on others to believe also. Imposing our opinion of our reality including our self-esteem and identity will often create conflicts. People aren’t always looking for love, rather that others agree with them on their self-identity. When they disagree, it may cause hurt and hatred and may damage their pre-selected view of identity. Inner conflict creates anger, anxiety, and fears, even panic attacks if the truth of who we really come up to the surface. Thus, the Spiritually sick are often attracted to bad people because good people may tell them the truth or be more difficult to manipulate in agreeing with their false self or be harder to compete with. We may seek people as worse than us to feel superior or people not honest who agree with self-lies often harming us. We will get manipulated because we want people to believe us, so they seduce us through our own wrong self-perceptions. Sometimes someone more powerful who we think can fix us, to later blame them or play the role of martyred.
SELF-IDENTITY- even a small matter like you thought you were born in Philadelphia, but by the way you were born in Miami. Something simple like that could shake someone up because He always thought he was born in a certain place, and if it has a value to him for self-importance, we can understand why he feels threatened. The more emphasis put on any belief about the self, the more concerned we are about what conflicts with it. I am smart, handsome, strong, or any other self-image can become threatened.

Academic and philosophical Torah today lacks power of Holy Spiritual Wisdom needed for healing character. Thus, we see as self-evident, how the secular rules over most minds. We lack a Torah that heals and protects. Torah now wears sackcloth crying “Woe to those disgracing me, better if they were never born.” The reason is we learn physical garments of Torah not Torah of Light, so the nations mock us saying your Torah is just a story book of ethics like they also have. Most mitzvot make no sense and seem bizarre without their Inner meaning. The Zohar says these Torah scholars teaching physical garments only, don’t merit the Geulah.
The Zohar explains Teshuvah of Love (like in a holy 12-steps like process) must be experienced FIRST, only afterwards one acquires the capacity to learn for the Sake of Heaven. He says without Inner Secrets, Talmud Bavli is like a dream without any answer. Learning Mishna and Talmud alone, was the sin of the Tree of Knowledge of Good/Evil, and the sin of the Erev Rav who rejected Self-Nullification at Mount Sinai, thereby bringing back death upon the Nation of Israel, saying “You Moshe we will listen to, but the Torah of Hashem NO, lest we Die” which meant they rejected Self/Ego-deflation and Holiness. So, from How as word #1, you count 613 words and arrive just before BEING, which is the first word related to the Third Step of Accepting the Torah, as connected to accepting all prior 613 words. If you argue a, b, and c should not be included as words, you rely on 613th word is WE which is literal point of beginning Step 3, after two words of BEING CONVINCED, which means being convinced of same three letters numbered-a,b,c three pertinent ideas.
The First 100 members are like 100 Rabbis with “Semicha” for the Nations, as Somach Noflim, the 50th Gate of Tumah. Why? Consider. To be Born-Again is the experience of Big Book Recovery. Big Book Pg. 27 Carl Jung says, “here and there, once in a while, since early history alcoholics had a Vital spiritual experience” that “saved” them. Note: Pg 89 “don’t start out as an evangelist or you’ll be handicapped,” but with priests and ministers why not, they must want to hear powerful Born-Again messages? It wasn’t a Christian message.

Pg 22 “Perhaps there will never be a full answer to why the Alcoholic acts differently from normal men, we can’t answer the Riddle.” A riddle was meant to be solved, so why no one may ever fully solve it? Because only Torah can. AA knew the strong medical genetic body model prevalent then, as the eugenics movement was legally sterilizing alcoholics and mentally ill. AA was clear the mind was NOT the body as on Pg. 23, “the main problem of the alcoholic centers in his Mind RATHER than in his Body.” Before the solution, let’s focus on one more point. Pg 151 says, “we became subjects of King Alcohol, shivering denizens of his mad reign.” Why this poetic deification of the substance alcohol, they knew Alcoholism was a Spiritual Malady, and not based on the substance alcohol’s interaction with the brain as if it was a biological chemical disease like believed today? The Answer is Alcohol is the Wine of the Garden of Eden Causing Death to Mankind, making him an “Alcoholic,” as when Adam confessed his Sin, he said in future tense saying, “I will eat it again,” (Netziv). He realized he lost freedom of control over himself, as even his physical body was altered and deceived by pleasure from a self-destructive evil inclination leading towards death. To note: To Carry the Message, as the Moshiach is still as “Anonymous.”

WINE-EGO-BONDAGE AND NEEDED TESHUVAH, IS BASIS OF CREATION.
The Sin was eating the Wine-Etz HaDaat on the 6th day, as it was supposed to be eaten with the Etz HaChaim with an Extra Higher Soul on Shabbos as Wine of Kiddush-Geulah which has 70 words, the gematria of Wine. Noah the Tzadik “got drunk” trying to fix the End of Days which is our times as the Deepest Fall of Adam. This shows Powerlessness over this “Specific Wine” that caused Death and Exile as Slaves (Addictus). Rashi on the Section of Noah becoming uncovered in his tent (feminine form of tent), says that the 10 Tribes were exiled via their addiction to WINE. Note: A Tzadik never becomes alcoholic.
Mordechai is called a Yehudi, yet he was from Benjamin who was not involved in the selling of Joseph. Benjamin (smaller Tzadik-Image of Joseph) was to be sold over the “wine cup.” Yehuda stood up to the concealed Yosef HaTzadik (Sober-Nazir from Wine) fighting for Benjamin, for he faced ANNILIATION if he lost him. Benyamin names his 10 Sons after the “lost” Yosef. Today Judah and Benjamin are the only two tribes, as the 10 tribes called Yosef are “lost-concealed” in Exile by WINE. Pesach’s four cups of Wine represent the four languages of Redemption, that can happen Now with The Cup of Elijah.
Haman is SAM-KAL who wanted the Jews addicted to Wine and to fall into Promiscuity. Haman is “Ha Min Ha Etz=Haman.” Annihilation of addiction and “false healing” is Amalek. In the Torah Reading of Amalek in Deut. 25:17-19 we see Amalek attacked those Lacking Power from Sin, rejected by the Clouds of Glory (Shechinah). This heresy of Amalek enters to war against us today through dealing with “the weak in power.” The Spiritual/Holy vs Amalek who creates doubt in Power of Faith in Teshuva, defining our minds under Medical Atheism. Purim teaches Teshuva of Love is Our Only Salvation from annihilation. Purim is the One Holiday for End of Days as Total Atonement as stated, Yom K’Purim. Like ACTORS in a play drunk as LOT (Messiah via Drunkenness-Daughters) we see EVIL turns into pure GOOD, so both become part of TRUE BLESSING.
We say L’Chaim on the Wine that caused Death, yet it Comforts Mourners. Pleasure is a way we mask the Pain of Mortality, and since we Need some Comfort, it may deceive us. Wine Simulates Simcha/Joy, like experiencing Holy Spirituality (Libations), yet can also be used to deceive when associated with unclean “spirits” idolatry (Yayin-Nesech).
Yehuda (Gen: 49:11-12) has the appearance of drunkenness as an Alcoholic but is purified through the immersion in a MIKVAH OF WINE. (Wine can’t be a Mikva, but a symbolic rebirth in Purity of Teshuva BECAUSE Death was from WINE. He is a Bria Chadasha as the Holiest-Chasid like an Infant Nursing from the Breast of His Mother (Shechinah) whose Milk is Purest Sodot HaTorah. The Messiah turns death from the blood of grapes into Life via Geulah from Malchut-Shamayim, for The Purest Milk of Torah and Rebirth.
It is interesting to note conquest of the Land of Israel is parallel to conquest of Holiness over the Physical Body. There are 12 Cranial Nerves in the Brain (Neshama) parallel to the 12 Tribes of Israel, who divided the Land for Inheritance. The Spine has 31 paired nerves each with specific functions and with the 12 cranial nerves are the peripheral nervous system of the central nervous system. Spinal nerves control many involuntary functions and motor and sensation for different parts of the body. These 31 nerves are parallel to the 31 Canaanite Kings that had to be conquered, so that the body should serve Holiness as being more subservient to the Soul, which is Represented by Israel.
CHAIM-VITAL-both mean Life, Son of Yosef (Tzadik-Yesod-CHAI is also Life). We understand practically by transformation into Holy-Life via a Vital Spiritual Experience.
HALACHIC PROBLEM: AGE OF MARRIAGE AND INCREASED SEXUAL SINS WITH THE CURRENT SHIDDUCH (UNMARRIED SINGLES) CRISIS.
It is obligatory to be married by age 20, under all circumstances today. Hashem waits, which means that he assists in the protection against licentious thoughts and active sin, but after 20 years old Hashem “blasts his bones,” with no more Divine protection. The danger of adultery by 20 is mentioned in Chazal, how much more so today (Kal V’ Homer) without Spiritual Defense, with such rampant pornography, and promiscuity today. When unmarried, Chazal says a male lacks blessing, simcha, protection, is not considered an Adam and lacks Good which is Torah. There is damage to the personality if not married during this critical developmental period for wholeness of being is in a male-female unit during late teenage years via marriage as clearly stated. As mentioned in Jewish Law, there is NO blessing if Unmarried, and it says that he lacks in Torah anyway.
Few can truly control their sexual thoughts, and extreme poverty is not a reality we can use as a Generalized Permission today to delay marriage, as this is the wealthiest of generations. This Heter isn’t from Chazal, and the Rambam is strict against benefitting from the Crown of Torah, with a loss of Olam Haba. He states as mentioned, to continue one’s learning there can’t be a Yetzer Hara in sexual matters or one MUST marry regardless, even when learning is dramatically reduced due to marriage-parnasa needs. We need to bring all the Souls from the “Guf/Body of Adam” (many Souls from the Holocaust) into this world, or the Divine Prescence and Redemption gets pushed away.
Abaya stated clearly that his quality of Wisdom over others was from marrying young at 16 by reducing his Yetzer Hara and he said if he was married at 14, “his finger would have put out the eye of Satan,” meaning being much holier. Chazal quotes Posukim giving blessings to parents marrying off children Somach L Perkan-Adolescence. Hashem in his Halacha knows personality development, and Rabbis who behave like the Reform emulating the modern world considering 17-18 years old too immature for marriage, (are secular chaste until marriage?). Immaturity and maturity of mind is defined in Holiness not Secular values that are causing the immaturity today and the Shiddich (Singles) Crisis.

But we STILL emphasize marrying late at about 23-24 years of age, even with this system of strange economics. THUS: Fathers have the mitzvah of Talmud Torah with their OWN SONS, so they support their OWN son’s marriage and learning in Kollel for 5 years, from the ages of 16-21, or perhaps 18-23. The fathers-in-laws will be less financially overwhelmed, SAVING their limited funds to support their Own Sons. Wise Sages should, if possible, teach for FREE but ONLY Students without a bad reputation, and ONLY to students willing to Serve him. NO fundraising for other’s sons learning need to be upon Yeshivot, as it’s not Mitzvat Talmud Torah. A Rav’s Honor is in His Independence. “GIFTS” MUST GO UP like Offerings, not DOWN like CHARITY.
COMMON ISSUES WITH SEXUALITY
What about so-called Sex Addiction today? It is not all from molestation although this would affect most negatively; it is from extreme Selfishness and community not following proper Halacha, but rather a pursuit of secular values. It is NOT a medical disease, it is from a very bad character and sin, and seeking pity like a victim. This Sex Addiction is an excuse that allows endless relapse by taking away pressure of a responsibility to change. There is NOWHERE in Torah an exemption from punishment in a Beit Din or anywhere else due to a medical Onus, even with a diagnosis from a CSAT therapist, or Patrick Carnes himself. The wicked person’s heart is not under his own control because he is Spiritually Ill, but he is still considered guilty. He must know he is really going to Hell, and that all his complaints of suffering can still be a game, and he must experience a Bria Chadasha Process to return to the Good Path, which sadly only few will sincerely want. They do need in-depth assistance from the Wise Healer. He is ashamed of being caught, of how he looks to others, and has a hurt ego of how he is NOT the Tzadik he thinks he is, but he is often not willing to abandon Selfishness. As Spiritually Sick with a corrupted will he WANTS to be sick and pursue Taavah/Lust. Lust is not demonized at Step One, even the BB states pg. 69, “our sex powers were God-Given and therefore Good, (in Torah God blessed it). It is if we use selfishly or for good, but not to despise libido inherently. Unmanageability in selfishness is the problem for all humanity, and the birth of a real willingness for a mature moral sex life, often only occurs AFTER the In-Depth Inventory and thorough Confession.
This includes SAME SEX ATTRACTION, which can be resolved via Bria Chadasha Teshuva IF they want help. We have THREE cases CURED by this Process as a KIDDUSH HASHEM. The fact that secular therapies like “conversion therapy” which are foolish and ineffective is no excuse for permitting love and tolerance towards this behavior, as there is a solution and if they don’t want help then full consequences occur, thus we must not tolerate evil. Because certain Rabbis don’t know Teshuva as a Spiritual Experience, they don’t know what to do and avoid exposure of their inadequacy by endorsing secular “tolerance” of what Torah does NOT tolerate. As the High Priest confessed the Unintentional Sins of the Rabbinate which causes the simple people to transgress as quoted in the evening Yom Kippur prayers, “The Whole Nation is Sinning Unwittingly.”
LOSS OF SPIRITUALITY IN CURRENT STYLE OF TORAH STUDY: All learning today is still considered completely selfish and improper based on the Ego of Sechel Enoshi (Philosophy), that our intellect is the power. We know from Absolute Truth revealed through the Arizal, that all must do Teshuva to become less Selfish for Kedusha. With even more Talmudic learning today than ever since before the Destruction of the Temple, and with so many resources and endless Books, why are there so many problems? We are in External Husks of religion and Emptied of our Neshama Inside us, as the ego-self blocks conscious connection to Truth. Blind and controlled by a secular environment, we fell into the 50th Gate of Tumah-Exile facing the Doom of being Erased by Amalek, and we don’t even see it. We think the body is our life, yet without the Holy Neshama to be an Adam we all die like dogs. The Face of the Dog Amalek laughs at our foolishness, smiling at us and throwing us bones for Rewards in this world, so we give up the WORLD TO COME. He uses techniques in therapies to adapt to this world, without Hashem.
